【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribesamethodthatusesanelectronichydrogendetectioninstrumentformeasuringrelative,diffusiblehydrogenconcentrationsinbaresteelsorinplatedsteelsafterthecoatinghasbeenremoved.Itisassumedthatthehydrogenisuniformlydistributedthroughoutapart.Themethoddoesnotmeasureactualhydrogenconcentration.However,oxidationcurrentdensitiesmeasuredagainsttimeprovideausefulindicationofrelativehydrogenconcentrationsand,therefore,themeasurementscanbeusedforcomparisonpurposes.Themethodmaybeusedasaqualitycontrolprocedureasitdoesprovideaquickmeansofmeasuringtheeffectivenessofpre-and/orpost-platingheattreatmentsorofmonitoringhydrogenuptakeduringplatingorduetocorrosion.Itisimportanttonotethattheabsenceoffailureinaparticulartestdoesnotprovideconfirmationofcompleteeliminationofhydrogenembrittlementbecausenoonetestmethodcanprovideallthedatanecessarytoevaluatethedegreeofhydrogendegradation.Forunplatedpartsthemethodisnon-destructive;however,forplatedpartsthecoatinghastoberemovedpriorto.measurementbyameansprovennottodamagethesteelortointroducehydrogen.Thistestmethodislimitedto:—carbonandalloysteels,excludingausteniticstainlesssteels(seenote1);—flatspecimenstowhichthecellcanbeattached(seenote2);—measurementsatroomtemperature(25℃±1℃).NOTE1Ifthismethodisusedforausteniticstainlesssteelsandotherfacecentredcubic(FCC)alloys,measurementtimesandinterpretationofresultswillhavetobedeterminedbecauseofthedifferentkineticsinvolved.NOTE2Forslightlycurvedsurfacesitisessentialtodefineanareathatisreproducible.TheareacalculationwillbedifferentfromthatdescribedinthisInternationalStandard.NOTE3Themethodcanbeappliedtosmallparts,however,thisnecessitatessomemodificationofthetechnique,procedureandinterpretationofresults.
